A FEW
THIS TO KNOW
At AfterGlo facial studio, appointments are reserved exclusively for you to ensure a personalized and relaxing experience.
Appointment scheduling
All appointments must be booked in advance. You may schedule your serive:
Online: through the Vagaro booking link for real-time availability.
Available time slots are displayed based on current availability, which shows appointments 24 hours in advance. Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
While all appointments are appointment-only, if you’re interested in booking a same-day facial, you’re welcome to contact, by text or email to inquire about opening or last-minute cancellations.
Please note that same-day availability is not guaranteed. Openings may occur if another client cancels or reschedules, but these are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the best chance at securing your preferred time, I recommend booking your appointment in advance. However, if you’d like to check for last-minute opportunities, you’re always welcome to reach out.

While I’ll do my best to accommodate you, late arrivals may result in a shortened service or a $50 late cancellation fee if the appointment cannot be performed.
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
It is much appreciated if you arrive at your facial appointment with no makeup on and have discontinued the use of any retinol product for at least 5 days.
If you are currently on ACCUTANE*, please do not book an appointment until you have been off the medication for 6 months minimum. For other acne medications, please contact your doctor and me to decide if a facial is right for you.
HOW DO I PREP MY SHIT BEFORE A FACIAL?
Avoid the use of any harsh scrubs, retinol, or active ingredients, 5 days before your facial. There is no need to do your skincare routine the day of your service
( just put on some SPF! )
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME AFTER A FACIAL?
While all my facials are non-invasive and require little to no downtime, results may vary from person to person. What I advise my clients to do 5-7 days post facial:
Avoid hot water on the face.
Avoid the use of saunas for 24-48 hours.
Avoid sweating or working out for 24 hours.
No picking or touching the face.
Clean makeup brushes, pillow cases, & towels.
No makeup if possible for 24 hours.
Avoid the use of active products, exfoliation, and retinol for 3 days post-facial.
WHAT IF I BREAKOUT AFTER MY FACIAL?
Some may experience what we call purging after a facial treatment, not to be confused with breakouts. Clients who receive facials that include exfoliation, enzymes, extractions, & chemicals are turning over dead skin cells.
This means congestion that is already forming under the surface is being pushed up faster. They may be small, come to a head quickly, and clear within 5-10 days.
Think of it as a spring cleaning- unpleasant at first, but productive in the journey to healthy skin. Refrain from picking or squeezing, keep your routine simple for a few days with gentile products & avoid using makeup.
